Today is Navida's last day. She's fifteen and learning English in India because apparently it's easier to learn it here than in Japan... We have two other Japanese students. Osamu who wears a Sikh turban (he's not Sikh) and parachute pants and Keichero. Keichero will be seventeen next month. I got a weird facebook message from one of Keichero's friends in Japan. She wanted me to tell her how he was doing because she's in love with him. I'm trying to remember being seventeen and thinking it was a good idea to send a message to a total stranger (of course there was no facebook way back when I was seventeen). I can't remember that time. I am old.
I decided to just ignore the message because I don't really want to get dragged into the drama.
I have enough drama of my own.
Speaking of drama. I have a test tomorrow. I don't think I've been this stressed out about a test since law school. I might be developing an eye twitch. There's just so much information and with only two people in the class, there's a lot of pressure to get the answer right. I haven't been scolded in years. I forgot how much it sucks.
I can't help thinking that if I were younger, perhaps my memory would be better. Se la vie.
I also bought peanut butter. I could rave on and on about the awesomeness that is peanut butter but I'll save that for another post. One that includes pickles from Holland. OOOOHHHHH pickles... how I miss you.

Not the eye twitch! My eye has been twitching for a month and is driving me crazy. I think it is telling me I'm just a little stressed out :) Miss you! December will be here before we know it, hey it's almost Septmeber!
ReplyDeleteI know! I can't believe I've been here for two weeks already. I'm sorry about your eye twitch :( Being the new Susan Austin must carry an extra load of stress. Very understandable.
