68 out of 71

I wish I had better news to report but as of this morning I'm 68 out of 71 on the Consular Register. Offers for the January Orientation started going out today (thank you listserve) and it looks like the highest number to get an offer so far is 17. That's of course only of the people who have posted. There may be more out there because of the number on the "do not call" list, but I probably won't know until the end of the week. I'm going to email the registrar again on Friday to see where I am on the list after this last set of offers went out.

On the happy side, sister #5 and her husband moved back to Dallas and I got to help them unload and unpack some of their stuff into their new house. I'm currently suffuring from closet/house envy. But not too much :) because I don't have to mow the lawn. And it's motivation to clean out all the crap I have.

  1. Well, now all you have to do is wait, right? I mean that's great! Time goes by so fast around the holidays. You'll be in the teen numbers before you know it.

  2. Also, you were number 68! Yea! You weren't 71! I'm sure that it is just a matter of time. You've come so far!!!

  3. I suppose that's true, although it really doesn't matter to me if I'm last on the list as long as the list is shorter. Time does go fast around the holidays, I just have to hang in there a bit longer.
